Buckwheat dishes of Lina Černiauskienė

In Dzūkija's National Park, at a homestead in Kapiniškės, host Lina will show you how she mixes the dough and bakes a traditional Dzūkija delicacy – grikinė babka – in a wood-fired oven. This buckwheat cake is a recipe known only to the forest-dwelling people from Dzūkija.

 

And if you're curious to try the delicious Dzūkija mushroom pastries… just ask the host to bake some for you! Enjoy the treats with a cup of herbal tea made from herbs gathered along the crystal-clear Skroblus River.
