Senoji Varėna Church of St. Michael the Archangel

Architects Brunonas Bakaitis and Gediminas Baravykas designed a church in Senoji Varėna inspired by forms and rhythms close to Čiurlionis’s art. The open bell tower resembles Čiurlionis’s painting “Spring Symphony.” In the churchyard, a memorial marker commemorates the birthplace of M. K. Čiurlionis.
