Writer Martynas Vainilaitis’s Homestead & Museum

Here, the poet spent nearly three decades summering and drawing inspiration from the beautiful surrounding nature as he wrote his works for children. This homestead is home to many wooden characters from the poet’s fairy tales—dwarfs, hedgehogs, pikes, goblins, forest spirits, and fairies—carved by folk artist Adolfas Teresius.
