Merkinė Visitor Centre – Dzūkija National Park

The Merkinė Visitor Centre is a modern facility established by the Dzūkija National Park Directorate, located in the town of Merkinė.

The contemporary and interactive exhibition introduces visitors to the land of rivers, streams, and springs, while also showcasing the local lifestyle, traditions, and historical development of the Merkinė region. The centre features a 3D water fish installation, motion-sensitive interactive fish, thematic walls dedicated to raftsmen, fishermen, wildlife, and plants, as well as an emotionally immersive spring installation.

The on-site "Šalcinys" Gallery regularly hosts rotating art exhibitions, showcasing works by professional artists and local folk craftsmen.
