The Old Jewish Cemetery of Valkininkai bears witness to the historical legacy of the town’s Jewish community and their contributions to the life of the region. Jews from Valkininkai and surrounding towns and villages — such as Degsnė and Čižiūnai — were buried here.

Covering approximately 1.4 hectares, the cemetery contains over 1,000 graves. The preserved headstones reflect the unique culture and traditions of the Jewish people. This site also serves as an important place of remembrance, safeguarding the heritage and history of the community.
