MapThe Old Jewish Cemetery of Merkinė is an authentic monument to the history of the Merkinė Jewish community and is among the largest of its kind in Lithuania by area. Within the cemetery, preserved gravestones bear inscriptions in Hebrew and Yiddish, telling the stories of the lives once lived in this town.
