“Kepsnių cechas” – The Grill Workshop at Merkinė Factory
Located in a former laundry building, this steakhouse now offers stunning views through modern glass windows of the confluence of the Merkys, Nemunas, and Stangė rivers, surrounded by lush Dzūkija pine forests. The restaurant follows a “zero-kilometer” philosophy — most ingredients are sourced locally, including beef, cheeses, salted, fermented, and pickled vegetables, and wild mushrooms.
“Merkinė Factory” also hosts seasonal cultural events, such as “Opera in Jeans” in June and the ancient traditions festival “Samanos” in August.
Open on weekends, the restaurant features a seasonally changing menu and offers culinary workshops and tastings inspired by world cuisines.
